Job Description:
Primary responsibility of the candidate will be to creating reporting solutions, dynamic dashboards, documents using MicroStrategy for a robust commercial cards application. Candidate should have solid knowledge of database performance tuning. Knowledge of DB2 is plus. Candidate also should have familiarity of MicroStrategy Architecture and schema object development.
The candidate will Work closely with business partners to gather complex reporting requirement. The position will require the candidate to perform data analysis to validate business requirement. Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Provide IT test plans, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.
The Leading candidate will be required to
o Understand the business requirement and prepare design documents.
o Understand and evaluate source system data as part of report design.
o Create Conceptual/Logical models in MicroStrategy to facilitate the reporting.
o Participate in Model reviews with Data modeler and project team members;
o Promote and follow guidelines, reporting standards and best practices around reporting efforts.
Create services for automated delivery of the report using Narrowcast and Distribution Services.
Optimize the report SQL for better performance.
Qualifications
5
years' experience in BI development and BI architecture in a volume intensive data warehouse environment preferably in financial industry.
5
years of experience with Business Intelligence Tools mainly MicroStrategy.
Experience in working with DB2, Oracle.
Solid knowledge around performance tuning, optimization of SQL.
Must be well versed with Object Migration, User Management, Security Groups, roles, ACLs, Security Filters.
Experience in Narrowcast.
Experience with Web Customization using SDK is a big plus
Experience in all aspects of software development life cycle for DW/BI projects.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical ability and the ability to work effectively with systems technical staff and business users. Ability to work succes
