Job Description:
Everest Global Services, Inc., a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd., is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Intelligence Developer for our Reinsurance Claim Department headquartered in Warren, New Jersey. The primary responsibility of this position is to design, develop and analyze data models, reports, and dashboards in support of the Reinsurance Claim Department tactical and strategic initiatives. This includes analyzing business requirements to determine optimal technical solutions. This position is part of a team responsible for the operational support of the Reinsurance Claim Department and the business intelligence developer will work closely with Claim Management as well as the Claim Technical staff in performing his or her duties. The rank and compensation associated with the position will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Designing and developing reports using approved databases and software development tools and methodologies and presenting their reports and findings to management Coordinating with Claim management and members of other units to ensure design and development of Business Intelligence platform represents consistent view of KPIs and Reinsurance Claim needs. Analyzing and documenting business requirements for requests to Everest Technology Services (ETS) team Acts as a liaison to Everest Technology Services (ETS) team on Claim Department initiated requests and projects Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets Improving quality controls by verifying accuracy and integrity of data leveraged in a variety of reporting platforms to drive improved insights and reporting Consolidating disparate data sources into a more effective reporting and analytical platform. Compiling and analyzing industry, peer, and other macroeconomic trends to develop enhanced business insights. Working with management to prioritize business and information needs Providing support to Claim management, Claim technical staff, and liaising with different functional areas and business units to support and drive execution on multiple key initiatives Analyzing workflows and making recommendations to increase operational efficiency and alignment of department objectives Work Experience and Qualifications 3-5 years of corporate work experience and/or experience in Information Technology (IT) industry BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or related field Work experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plus Work experience related to insurance/reinsurance claims is a plus Solid organizational skills and the ability to work both in a team environment and independently on assignments Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy Intellectual curiosity to delve into various business problems. Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining or segmentation techniques Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. Ability to explore data and present trends to management for further analysis. Knowledge of or experience with reporting packages (Power BI preferred, QlikView, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, etc.), databases (SQL Server, MS Access, etc.), and programming (Python, VBA, or JavaScript) Familiarity with electronic document management applications (OnBase, ImageRight, SharePoint, etc.) preferred, but not required Knowledge of statistics or experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.) Advanced PC skills (Excel and PowerPoint are must haves) Knowledge of or experience creating Microsoft Access applications preferred, but not required Knowledge of or experience writing Microsoft Office macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) preferred, but not required.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software Development, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
