To support this, we are currently looking for a Director of Payroll Tax Compliance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise payroll accounting team, coordinate daily operations of the team and establish time lines to ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll accounting activities. Ensure payroll tax compliance with Federal and various states and localities/municipalities. Ensure timely submissions of payroll related to Federal, state and local/municipal filings. Establishment of new tax filings for states including state family leave requirements, unemployment. Ensure accurate and timely issuance of W-2s and related filings including year-end payroll adjustment. Communicate with state tax agencies as it relates to payroll taxes. Collaborate with other departments, including the Human Resources Department, the Tax Department and foreign subsidiaries, etc. to support various growth initiatives. Prepare a variety of payroll accounting and other payroll-related tax reports for senior management and internal customers; assess requirements of reports and implement improvements. Review payroll accounting methods and procedures, recommend changes to payroll accounting methods, automated or manual, and implement changes as directed. Regulate compliance with Finance requirements for assigned payroll accounting functions; check daily input and output of payroll accounting data to ensure accuracy; reconcile general ledger payroll accounts to ensure accuracy. SOX compliance and responding to audits, including annual worker's compensation audits. Provide subject matter expertise on the establishment of new earnings and deduction codes including the tax implications. Provide guidance on taxable fringe benefits, allowances, special payments including lump sum payments, severance, nonqualified plan payments. Work Experience &
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 7
years of experience in payroll, accounting, and payroll taxes. Ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders, management, tax authorities. Must be experienced with complicated payroll settlements, including state, city, and local taxation issues. Global payroll experience a plus. General knowledge of principles and practices of accounting including reconciliation, accrual preparation, auditing and funding of payroll. Experience working with ADP Smart Compliance Service and Workday (Payroll module) a must. Experience communicating with various state tax agencies a must. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and highly organized. Display ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work by established deadlines. Highly enthusiastic, analytical, methodical, and disciplined in nature. Ability to adapt and adjust to unexpected circumstances. CPP designation preferred.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
