Info Security Sr Engineer I (Remote Available) at Principal Financial Group Inc in Remote
Responsibilities As an Info Security Sr Engineer I in our Principal Global Investors Security team, you'll work to help further our AWS cloud solutions! Help enable Principal on our cloud journey by providing guidance and security solutions for application engineers as they migrate applications to the cloud. Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you'll do:
Collaborate with engineering teams to help shape our transition to the cloud. Ensure established controls, policies, regulations and recommend mitigation strategies are followed during development. Able to identify and create guidance documentation for engineers including the creation of usable artifacts and cdk constructs which are enterprise ready. Stay abreast of security concerns/vulnerabilities for all types of information systems both hardware and software. Remain current on security best practices in the industry by continually increasing security knowledge. Focus on growing as an engineer, learning existing tools, resources, security processes, and gaining a more in-depth understanding of the technical aspects of infrastructure management functions including performance, capacity, scalability, recovery, maintenance and security. Qualifications We're looking for someone with:
Associate's or bachelor's degree with a preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent work experience and 6
years of IT related experience 4
years of experience working in an Info Security related role Experience with cloud security technologies and techniques (Development experience using typescript, Python, or modern languages, AWS) Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines is preferred Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code is preferred Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners Keys to success in this position:
Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills Ability to think strategically and work quickly Analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Minimum Salary USD $116,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary USD $162,000.00/Yr.
