Attorney II Overview Responsible for providing sophisticated legal support for the Company in a broad range of areas, including analyzing proposed and established legislation, regulations and other guidance; reviewing and preparing legal documents in support of the Company's insurance operations (including contract, marketing materials, and Company policies. Provides legal advice and services to ensure Compliance and protect the Company against legal liability. Actively identifies and logically assesses potential legal risk in ambiguous, unique, and/or complex situations. Supports the Company's insurance business lines (including but not limited to Life, Disability, Dental and Supplemental ) by maintaining expertise in all matters relating to Federal and State regulatory agencies' oversight of laws and regulations to which the Company must adhere and by participating in management meetings to advise the senior dental line of business executives and staff in this capacity. Support all legal and compliance issues related to the Company's lines of business, including operations, underwriting, provider network contracting and credentialing, product development, HIPAA compliance, and data governance. Provides legal support for insurance regulatory issues, including complaints, investigations, and examinations (market conduct and financial examinations). Provides legal support for the Company's marketing and advertising of insurance products, which includes the use of multiple brands and proper use of trademarks and service marks, as well as coordination with the Company's Blue Partners with respect to compliance with Association branding guidelines. Provides legal support for the Company's producer compliance, appointment and commissions functions, including drafting and reviewing agency agreements and providing legal advice on issues related to the appointment of agents and payment of commissions and other compensation. Provides legal support for other Company's operational groups (including IT, HR, Finance, etc.) as necessary, including the preparation and review of documents and providing legal advice on issues related to the organization's operational functions. Acts on the Company's behalf, including preparation and review of the Company's filings, and appearance as necessary, before federal and state administrative and regulatory agencies in their oversight and audits of the Company's operations, specifically with respect to the Company's insurance business and its filings with federal and state regulatory bodies. This is a remote position. Essential Duties Interfaces and interacts with the Company's senior management providing timely advice and counsel on contractual, regulatory and industry-related matters. Interfaces and interacts with BlueCross counterparts in support of the Company's insurance business. Understands and ensures Company compliance with federal and state regulatory regimes, specifically including, but not limited to, State Insurance Licensing, OFCCP and AAP requirements, and Medicare Advantage requirements for a First Tier and Downstream Entity, including Fraud, Waste and Abuse prevention efforts. Drafts, negotiates, reviews and advises on the Company's various contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, government contracts, requests for proposal (RFPs). Supports the product development, filing, and responses to State regulators for the Company's insurance business lines. Provides guidance and support relating to privacy and security issues, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley, HIPAA, and other applicable state and federal statutes and regulations governing the protection, use and disclosure of confidential information, as well as applicable document retention requirements. Trains and mentors less experienced attorneys and/or paralegals. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience in Health Care regulation and compliance or similar regulatory environment. Insurance Regulation and/or experience in highly regulated environment or industry. years of experience as a practicing lawyer. Experience with or knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements and regulations governing the Company's insurance products and business. Experience with provider credentialing and contract compliance (dental preferred). Litigation experience. Outside or Corporate Counsel of a life, disability, dental or ancillary benefits insurer or plan. Preferred Education and Experience 7
years of experience as a practicing lawyer. Experience with or knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements and regulations governing the Company's insurance products and business. Experience with provider credentialing and contract compliance (dental preferred). Litigation experience.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
