Senior Information Governance Analyst

Description The Senior Information Governance Analyst will assist with strategy and direction of CME Group's Records and Information Management program. This role will provide recommendations on the execution of the program to ensure CME's ability to demonstrate compliance with Records Management policies, laws, regulations and other obligations. Having strong knowledge of RIM industry best practices and controls methodology while fostering a relationship between the business units, department records coordinators, information technology, legal, risk, privacy and electronic discovery teams. Principle Accountabilities:
Takes initiatives to complete the daily operational activities and coordinates with the other team members to meet effective team service levels. Remains responsive and provides direction and guidance to internal staff when seeking direction and input from RIM. Consistent involvement with records management vendors to maintain service levels. Maintains the records inventory (including physical and electronic), completing the updates to the records accordingly and ensuring timely records coordinators contact lists. Identifies possible risks, draft remediation plans, and works with the business partners on the resolution activities should challenges arise. Administers the records management program through the direction of the Manager and other partnership as needed. Works closely with the legal, risk management, information technology, privacy, electronic discovery and business units' records coordinators to implement the controls for safeguarding company information and records. Also, drives lifecycle management and defensible disposition of non-records or records that have met their retention criteria initiatives to help reduce costs. Responsible for assisting with the drafting, managing and enforcing the associated records management policies, guidelines, procedures, notices and standards, along with seeking approval from key stakeholders prior to publication. Develop training materials in partnership with the teams listed above. Conducts training and informational presentations to inform and educate staff as required. Works with management on projects and initiatives to mature the RIM program, leading many of the efforts independently with minimal supervision Provides backup support to the information governance teams as directed by the Manager. These would typically include privacy, electronic discovery, and risk management but could include other areas where deemed appropriate. Remains well versed on information governance, records management, and privacy best practices along with regulations that have direct impact to CME Group, working with counsel to provide management with proposed recommendations when modifications are required to obtain compliance with any new or changes to law. Potential growth opportunity by keeping involved with the privacy initiatives of the organization. Skills and Software Requirements:
Familiarity with records management requirements, privacy laws, regulations, frameworks, and industry practices. Experience with identifying and assessing risk and ability to drive improvements in identifying reasonable solutions. Strong desire to learn, strong communication, facilitation, and relationship building skills. Highly organized with excellent time management and related organizational skills, including appropriate sense of urgency, a proactive approach, and a suitable ability to anticipate and manage project lifecycle events, issues and obstacles.
Experience:
3
years of experience in operating a records management program and aspiring to work towards a CRA (Certified Records Analyst) distinction is desired. This includes assisting with writing policies, procedures, and training materials. Experience with identifying and assessing records management issues and solutions to drive improvements. Experience with RSA Archer Vendor Management tool and SharePoint Administration a plus. Experience working with global teams having different skillsets from Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, etc. Financial markets experience, and familiarity with those specific recordkeeping and privacy regulations, also a plus. Prior records management experience in law firm, company or other legal environment, including familiarity with document management solutions and database management. Education:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
