The ideal candidate will have prior experience with property and casualty insurance and reinsurance and knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to this industry. Candidate should have knowledge of both ceded and assumed reinsurance with strong contract drafting skills; the ability to prepare new as well as revise existing reinsurance treaties and facultative certificates; preparation of trust agreements, letters of credit and other security agreements; knowledge of the applicable reinsurance and insurance case law, as well as insurance and reinsurance regulations both inside and outside of the U.S. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical acumen, the ability to provide concise oral and written advice to business clients; the ability to negotiate; strong organizational and research skills and the ability to write persuasively.
