401(k) Pension Plan Business Development

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the coordination and set up of new business. In this role you will be responsible for business development, identifying and creating relationships that drive revenue to the firm.
Essential Skills and Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities and create a pipeline for new business opportunities through independent research, networking, and outreach efforts.
Effectively and timely coordinate the set up and implementation of new retirement plan clients.
Ability to learn about client's other services, e.g. Group Benefits, Individual Planning and apply in providing client solutions
Expertise in all facets of retirement plans
Must possess strong presentation skills for client meetings and sales finals.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
5 years direct client experience in the 401(k) and retirement plan industry.
Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast paced and changing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable making presentations to groups.
Proficiency in MS Office software applications, specifically Word and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Sound business judgment in determining what issues need to be elevated to appropriate level of authority.
Ability to work overtime to meet the needs of the business unit.
Designations - Pension or investment designations helpful

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
