Microstrategy architect

Sr. MicroStrategy Architect (10
years) will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of Business Objects to Micro Strategy solutions that maximize the MicroStrategy platform capabilities and ensure optimal performance, usability, and functionality consistent with business requirements. This individual will provide comprehensive technical guidance and MicroStrategy architecture expertise to the project teams and will also need to have project estimation experience and be able to communicate effectively with both technical resources and non-technical business users. We are seeking a motivated self-starter who must be able to work well both independently and with team. Must be able to participate in after-hours support rotation.
Responsibilities:
o MicroStrategy schema definition, design, implementation and maintenance
o Performance tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of both new BI solution
o Analysis and interpretation of business requirements and translation into functional and technical requirement specifications
o Assistance with project planning, estimating, approach definition and
o implementation planning
o Support, design, build and test MicroStrategy objects, projects, reports, dashboards, cubes
o Evaluate current and emerging BI industry trends and best practices when designing BI solutions
o Work closely with DBAs on data model or database changes required to
o support BI projects
o Participate in after-hours support rotation
Qualifications:
o 8-10 years of experience with the design, architecture, development and Implementation of MicroStrategy BI reporting
o MicroStrategy Version 9x or above - including Desktop, Web, Report
o Architect, Object Manager, Command Manager, Enterprise Manager, Integrity Manager
o Experience with Microstrategy Java SDK integration with other applications is required.
o Experience in Microstrategy Web, Developer, Dashboard, Mobile and Visual Insights development.
o Hands-on experience in development of attributes, facts, dimensions, grids, documents, graphs and scorecard reporting using Microstrategy.
o Extensive experience developing reports, dashboards, and cubes in
o MicroStrategy Version 9x or above
o Strong knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts.
o Experience with query optimization strategies for building reports
o Understands system usage and potential bottlenecks
o Advanced SQL skills
o Experience with retail environment is strongly preferred
o Knowledge of Business Objects and Crystal report is added advantage as we are migration from BO to MSTR.
o MicroStrategy certified is preferred
o
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent courseEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
